Abstract: China University of Geosciences and George Mason University have successfully reach an agreement of collaboration in Doctoral education. This represents a unique opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students in pursuing a doctoral degree in art, science and engineering. In this presentation, the education collaboration will be described in detail with an example path from a CUG student to a GMU graduate student to a successful career in USA or China. One of the major goals of this GMU-CUG agreement is to initiate or/and enhance the international collaboration for the faculty between GMU and CUG. In addition, the research and the living in George Mason University will be introduced, with an emphasis on electronics, sensors and smart systems. Overall, the collaboration provides an effective platform for the faculty and doctoral students of both universities to work on advanced research projects of common interest, leading to publication and technology sharing.
